Music of the Month: Peter Baecker

Dressed head to toe in a silver suit, with a mohawk hairdo and energy to burn, performance artist, DJ and dancer Peter Baecker travels the world with his 80s mobile disco, setting up anywhere from sweaty Berlin clubs to a mall in Sydney, to ... Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki! 

In this one-of-a-kind free event, Baecker will respond to the exhibition 'Light from Tate: 1700s to Now'. Expect shimmering lycra, neon glow and unadulterated enthusiasm for all things 80s. Get swept up in the pure joy of 80s pop as rainbow rays bounce off this aerobic artiste like a human mirror ball! 

Bring your dancing shoes, bring the kids, bring grandma –because everyone loves to dance the day away!
